Exploit Recovery
Participants are those that take an action in the DAO. Participants can also consist of Protocol Owners and Auditors, as it's permissionless and Bevor has no control over who can participate. More thorough details on the DAO are found here, but the participants' role is outlined briefly here.
Challenge Period
DAO participants only play a role during the challenge period of audits. This is when an audit is completed by auditors, implemented by protocol owners, and vesting periods are ongoing. The duration per audit is however long the 2 parties agreed upon.
As Bevor optimistically assumes that all audits are valid, it is also assumed that all proposals only exist to claim that an audit is faulty. If no proposals are made stating that an audit was faulty for the duration of the vesting period, then no action is taken by the DAO or Protocol.
Anyone can propose a dispute. The DAO participants vote on the validity of a claim.
- YES -> proposal is valid, audit is faulty
- NO -> proposal is invalid, audit is not faulty
Incentives
Bevor DAO is largely different from other DAO's we see today, as results of the Bevor DAO proposal periods actually automate some action. It isn't just a forum. Due to this, it's crucial to the success of Bevor as a whole.
This requires proper incentives for participating and correctly voting in proposals. Voting on proposals, in a manner where economic incentives are aligned with actual beliefs, is important for ensuring sustainability of the protocol. More of this in Incentives.
